Terms and Conditions of Freight Services
Our goal is to provide a safe, reliable, and cost-effective service that has a strong focus on our freight Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations. Our safety obligations require the scheduling of appropriate breaks to ensure our fatigue management safety margins.
Scheduling
- Customer should be aware that any forecast ETA may be + 2hours before notification of delay.
- Where practicable the customer will be informed by GleMan Freight of any significant delay due to adverse conditions.
- 3-4 Hour collection & delivery windows are provided for each collection or delivery within 12-24 hours of the intended collection or delivery.
If for any reason the sender or receiver is not available during the collection or delivery window the driver must be notified by the sender or receiver prior to collection or delivery is attempted. If this does not occur then this will constitute as the collection or delivery & therefore the total contract fee is payable & additional fees may be required due to rebooking the job.
Booking Fee
- At time of Booking a booking fee of 33.3% is payable to secure your Freight Window, in the event that GleMan Freight is unable to attend the job due to our issue the booking fee will be refunded in full.
Cancelations
- Where a customer needs to rebook GleMan Freight will attempt to reschedule within 7 days or enact the cancelation policy for the job in question.
- Booking cancellations may incur a cancellation fee if cancellation occurs before 72 hours of pick up after paying deposit. This fee ($148.50 + GST) will be applied and is at the discretion of the company. Any remaining deposit will be refunded if cancelled prior to 24-hour deadline.
- Cancelation within 72 hours will; result in forfeiture of the 33.3% deposit where a rescheduling agreement has not been made within the 7-day window. Rescheduling will not apply where the transport arrangement is associated with a shipment run. Or may be considered after application and agreement to a (Run-Up) run recovery payment.
Demurrage and Storage
Where the customer caused a delay in loading of greater than 15 minutes after arrival on site or after an agreed pickup time a holding fee of $110.00 per hour paid per 30minute increment or part thereof is payable in addition to the original invoice.
Storage on truck is charged at $325.00 per day off truck storage where available will be charged at $275.00 per day and a $50.00 reload fee is payable at the resumption of the run.
Invoicing/Payment
Payment on Loading (PoL)
- The remainder of the quoted price is required at arrival to the job prior to the loading of the Shipment
Payment on delivery (PoD)
- The remainder of the quoted price is required at arrival to the job prior to the unloading of the Shipment
Payment on Invoice Terms (PoI)
- At the discretion of GleMan Enterprises payment by Close of business next Business Day or as agreed through prior arrangement for approved B2B agreements Max term 7 Days.
General
- All transportation costs are non-refundable.
- Our pick-up and drop-off dates are subject to change due to unforeseen traffic, weather & road condition.
- Acceptance of the quote assumes the customer has verified safe access for loading and unloading for vehicles up to 12 tonnes.
- It is the responsibility of the customer engaging GleMan Freight to ensure items are well packed for safe transport whether sending or receiving goods.
- Run Up Fee is a fee applied to cover fuel expenditure and cost associated with traveling to a shipment site.
- Claims are managed separately through the Insurance process. A claim of damage does not suspend payment of the invoice in full.
- Non payment of invoice may result in referral to debt collection services. All additional fees associated with recovery including legal and filling costs will be payable by the invoiced party.
